We use only the finest ingredients for our seed bombs and flower marbles: black potting soil, clay powder, and high-quality, local seeds from specialist retailers. We take a few seeds from each batch of seed bombs and conduct germination tests to ensure quality.
Despite our high quality standards, we are and will always be somewhat inferior to nature. However, we have compiled a few tips for you on what to look for to ensure optimal casting results:
- Place the seed bombs on loose soil: The seedlings' fine roots won't be able to take root in hard, dry soil. Therefore, make sure to place them on loose, black potting soil to ensure they have the optimal starting conditions.
- Don't bury them: Even if it sounds almost too simple, seed bombs or flower marbles are simply thrown out, laid out, or rolled. Unfortunately, if you bury them in the soil, they won't grow. So save yourself the hassle of bending down.
-
Water, water, water: Our seed bombs need a lot of water! Especially at the beginning, it's important to water the brown balls thoroughly so they can absorb the water properly. You'll know when you've had enough watering by whether the seed bomb can be squeezed like clay. Make sure the seed bombs never dry out!
Sunny spot: Our various seed bombs and flower marbles contain dozens of different seed varieties, some of which thrive in the sun, others in the shade. Depending on your chosen location, you'll get the desired results. Generally speaking, the more sun, the more lush the blooms. Our Italian Garden, Wild Herb, and Sunflower varieties, in particular, are true sun worshippers and unsuitable for shady spots.
