Über Dolomitenbiene
Dolomitenbiene ist eine kleine, feine Imkerei aus Lienz in Osttirol, mitten in den Lienzer Dolomiten. Der Name steht nicht für eine besondere Bienenrasse, sondern verweist liebevoll auf die Heimat der Imkerei und ihre bienenfreundliche Umgebung.
Seit 2011 kümmern sich Lisa und Gabriel mit viel Herzblut um ihre Bienenvölker, die Jahr für Jahr wachsen. Im Frühling erfüllt das beruhigende Summen rund um die Bienenstände die Luft – für die beiden Imker immer wieder ein besonderer Moment. Gehalten wird hier die Carnica-Biene (Apis mellifera carnica), auch Kärntner Biene genannt, die bestens an das Klima der südöstlichen Alpen angepasst ist und sowohl heiße Sommer als auch kalte Winter gut meistert.
